Inverse Variation!

Dear Journal,
Since I am going pretty fast I don't know which came first in our lessons inverse or joint so I'm going to blog about inverse first it was super awesome it's like if y varies inversely as x and it comes out like this y=k/x it's awesome =).Though I do have some problems in transforming the equation so I can get the variable I need to get.XD...Oh well,I'll ust get the value of k and solve the whole equation anyway.=)

Direct Square Variation!

Dear Journal,
We studied about direct variation its like direct square variation except that the equation is y=k(x)(x) instead of y=kx,I swear I can't write x squared in my computer so I just put in x multiplied by x anyway...That's pretty much...!-) Till next time!

Variation and Catching Up!

Dear Journal,
I am now trying to make up for the tons of stuff I missed to blog about before I go to 3rd grading mode!Anyway,catching up after complex fractions we studied direct variation and it was pretty easy and kinda like proportion and ratio ack in Grad 5 or was it 6?Oh well,it's pretty fun and Ma'am said there are different kinds of variation...Can't wait!=)

Hi!We haven't had much much study this week...We studied about simplifying complex fractions.It was kinda hard at first,and I had a very hard time on simplifying those fractions but then Ma'am taught us two(2) types of ways on how to simplify those fraction.

Technique 1:
Simplify the numerator then the denominator...then it's just a matter of dividing the remaining fractions

Technique 2:
simplify the whole equation by getting the LCD of the denominator of the numerator and the denominator of the denominator(tongue twister if there ever was one LOL)

I gotta admit I liked the second technique at first because it was easier compared to the first one and is shorter but as the fractions became harder I was forced to use the first technique because even though it''s harder and takes longer to solve it as more likely to give the correct answer.Just goes to show!Don't judge a book by it's cover....!Anyway...from all the hard equation my tutor is making us do,I sure hope I'll do okay in Math!!

Complex...??I'd Rather go with Simple!

We started the simplifying of complex fractions this week.It's really very hard but that's okay,where's life without the challenger!Anyways it's kinda
hard but fun as well.I'm a bit slow but I'm trying to do my best in Math.Anywayz....it's gets hard to keep track of things if there are 4 fractional thingys cause we saw the exercises and tried to solve them in our tutor time I had to ask for my tutor's help at least 4 times.Sir is about us new set of tests tomorrow...yikes!...I have to go now or that Math test will have my head for sure!!

I'm Running out of Titles for my Math journal!

Hi-dee-ho!well the last time we studied about sums and differences of rational algebraic expressions!Well it was fun!It managed to squeeze every single bit of brain juice in this little head of mine!!LOL!It was awesome to the 9th degree...LOL..I feel happy that I somehow managed to get a lesson like this...Though I DID manage to make a fool of myself on the blackboard once.Good thing didn't push it or embarrass me or anything!I am grateful for that..If your reading thanks!I can't wait for the next exciting lesson!

Neglected!!!!

Hello!I am so sorry for neglecting you!what with the ruckus and pandemonium high school life has to offer I am slightly flustered..Anyways I'm gonna make up for at least 3 weeks of blogging!!Okay let's start,the last time...where I left off we had to learn to find the LCD of rational algebraic expressions...!It was pretty awesome except for the fact that I got such a low score in a test!!!I blew it because of my laziness instead of writing the factor of something I wrote "not factorable" instead of rewriting the whole thing.So that's why I got such a low score!
Oh well,that's life and I thank Ma'am Shirly Masangkay for pointing out my mistake!Thanks!Despite that disastrous test I still feel happy at learning something new at Math!

Math is FUN!!!!

Hey neglected journal of mine...!Today--and by today I mean this week--we studied about factoring!It was so fun!TRIAL AND ERROR TRIAL AND ERROR!!
hehehehe...I just so confused with trying to find out if to get a positive product whether to use two negatives or try two positives but our tutor told us e should look at the middle term and look at its sign whether is negative or positive...I still have some mistakes here and there but I hope I get it right...!I heard the next lesson will be pretty tough...oh well...!'ll just take my time and enjoy the lesson for what is...!I do hope I get it right this time!!!!

Math!!Math!!Math!!

Dear Journal,
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm super happy this week!Guess what!?Gues what!?I actually got high score on our test!I'm one of the people who were highest in that test that Ma'am gave us!It was a first for me because the highest I've ever gotten on a test was 35 out of 40 on our Periodical Test back in Grade 5 O.o
So,you see...?I've always been having low or average scores in our Math test but never a high score!I was so happy I contacted via cellphone my Mom and Dad ASAP.And Dad was so happy he promised to buy me a new tape in my Game boy!=)
I feel so happy!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah..!This week's lesson!Well,after a series of bloody tests that all required rulers and graphing papers,protractors and markers that totally messed with my head.We had a lesson about Quadratic Equations...it was pretty fun...!It was actually very easy to distinguish the Quadratic Equation from the Linear Equation both in equation from and the graph.=)
But I think next week will be bloody hard...!=) FUN!=)

Math is the Best!(Part 2)

Not much to say....this week has been very tiring...and we studied about Graphs of Linear Inequalities and I wasn't there when it was originally discussed oh well....At least Ma'am explained it to the class twice...I'm grateful for that.It's an okay lesson..I guess and it was a bit fun.And I like the fact that we still get to use the substitution method/Elimination Method/Kramer's Rule.Cause I love the substitution method...!It's so fun!Kramer's rule looks fun as well that's why I'm trying to solve a few problems here and there with the Kramer's Rule...I dunno!Seems fun!Here's to hoping that our next lessons will be okay!!!

Math is the Best!

Yeepi!!I now love Math and now see the beauty of numbers...!Yay!Sorry hyper moment 0.o.
But it's really fun to do word problems now!Heehehee...this week we studied about the investment problems and the work problems.And I find that tables help a great deal in investment problems!I also like to solve the work problems if not for the fact that they sometimes require 3 equations which gives me a headache,after solving stuff like that I need at least 3 bars of chocolate to be my old hyper self again.Anyway,I'm still kinda confused about the work problems,and since Ma'am presented the solving of the equations to us in Kramer's Rule,I will also try to solve the problems in Kramer's Rule....could be fun!Anyway we have a test on Monday and another one on Tuesday!It gets me excited!Can't wait!!

Substitution and Elimination?!?!?!?!?Uh-oh

Urhurm...I haven't been having that much trouble much trouble with math,since I now go to tutor,and I admit,Math is fun when you get used to it and I'm starting to like it,even though I'm sometimes wrong on math but still...=)
anyway,this week we studied about...ummm...
,,,,,

ummm....

Let me think,aha!!!We studied about the elimination and substitution method in equations.I admit the first time our tutor introduced it to us I was like
"Holy...!!!!So many things to do!!!No way!!!!!!!!!!!"
And I felt like throwing my algebra book,but now I really like the substitution method,because it has so many things to do,and I hated it before wit the same reason I'm loving it now!=)...Hahaha,all those y=-4x+6 and stuff like that!=)
Now the elimination method is much easier than the substitution method and much more time-saving which will be very handy when it comes to tests...you just have to cross out the opposite variables and then solve.I am really happy that I understand Math now!Still hoping to love Math!

Math????Equations???Oh Dear God....

Dear Journal,
Oh,S.ugar,H.oney,I.ce,T.ea...We just started the equation of the the graph....Oh it was pretty easy....FLUNKING!!It was so hard,I'm am SO glad we are going to have a tutor this week,I was so near to crying.Of course some people might tell me that it's easy,but I've got the brain the size of a peanut so you can imagine the obstacle it made for me,what would I have done without L.A. explaining it to me a bajillion times,I do not know.And I sometimes wonder where the guy gets all that patience...=)

Back to the lesson at hand,you might think it's easy what with all the y=mx+b...You'd think it was pretty easy but I totally flunked that activity Ma'am gave us...oh well,that's life

Recollection(do I have to?)
Let's see,if you use the equation y=mx+b you have to get the slope(mx)then use one of the ordered pairs to replace y and to multiply it by the slope and then solve the equation to find the y intercept (b)Is it correct?Is it?Is it?

Reflections:
It was 100.3% hard but I guess that I can live through this and learn from my many mistakes and gradually learn to love math

Linear Equations?Oh man!

Dear Journal:
OHMIGOD!!!!This week we started learning about the system of linear equations and the plotting lines.o.O

My God!!Ma'am Masangkay called me L.A.,Grace and me to post our assignments on the board and I WAS WRONG....I was so embarrassed...I forgot that the variables shouldn't be in fraction so I wrote x/4 instead of 1/4 x...!I felt the heat rise up my face when ma'am said my answer was somehow correct and then she presented the right answer .Don't get me wrong,she was real nice not to embarrass me like that but I was still embarrassed but I forgot!I was such a jerk forgetting it like that,I mean it was 1st year stuff!Oh my...oh no,no,no...Not good at all.......bad bad me
Anyway in the linear equations I thought it k okay...except for the fact that we sometimes have to find out the graph using the slope intercept form 0.o
At first,I didn't get it since I went to the bathroom(hey!a girl's gotta go when a girl's gotta go!=D)
and I was a little lost but I got through it okay and I still think that using the table of values is the best way to find the value of y.And I find it soooo funny that I'm always using numbers with low values such as 3,2 and stuff like that while probably all my other classmates use 10,20 and stuff like that...oh well...I REGRET NOTHING!!hahaha...Well so long...that's it for now...!

Wah!!!!Today is the day our group's going to sing about stuff about the coordinate plane o.Oa
Oh noes.....no,no,no...this is bad....Not good at all... D=
I think Nadia's group was the best =).It was such a nice song and they did some acting too.Homies,did I suck!!!!!!Not my group,just me,I totally sucked at the singing thing,ah man....Oh well,no use crying over dead zombies,we'll get 'em next time.We didn't do anything much after that since it took about an hour,seeing that we have 5 groups so it really is gonna take that long.Well I know this isn't that long but hey,cut me some slack.Until next time.Since it's Friday,I'm off for a wonderful weekend!!!!!
